Automated image processing makes it possible to extract data very efficiently with a modest computer. This course will teach the basic techniques to identify objects in an image, and to measure their properties. In addition, the temporal evolution of objects can be characterised from a video or a sequence of images.

Matlab will be used in the course. Together with the image processing toolbox (the University of Navarra has licence). A laptop computer is required. If someone wishes, it is feasible - with some effort that remains under his responsibility - to follow the course with another package. Such as Python with the scikit-image package.
