Passion for Science: from researcher to astronaut
In the framework of the #LabMeCrazy! Science Film Festival, the Science Museum of the University of Navarra organizes a series of talks that invites reflection on science and its impact on society. Through lectures position experts, current scientific issues are addressed, connecting film and knowledge dissemination with the general public. A unique opportunity to learn, be inspired and discover how science transforms the world.
Tuesday, February 25, Sara García Alonsoresearcher and astronaut, will give a lecture on the talk for schools.
Sara García Alonso has a degree in Biotechnology (2012) and Master's Degree in research Biomedicine (2013) from the University of León, and in 2018 she received her PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Salamanca. García Alonso has worked for the committee Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) conducting research on oncological medicine and also at the Spanish National Cancer Research Center (CNIO) leading a project on experimental oncology and finding drugs. In the year 2022 Sara is designated to become a member of the reservation Astronauts of the European Space Agency (ESA).
