THEMATIC EDITION 25-26
"Rebuilding peace: postwar periods throughout history".
In the study of history, special attention is paid to armed conflicts as they redefine relationships between peoples and destroy lives, infrastructure and livelihoods. However, official peace agreements are followed by long periods in which the survivors strive to rebuild their world in some way. Some well-known processes are the "miraculous" revival of Korea after the 1950 war, the reorganization of Granada after its conquest in 1492 or the new life of Saxons and Vikings thanks to the peace of Alfred and Guthrum in the 9th century. How does a people articulate itself in post-war times? This is the goal of the 6th edition of the competition Historia Play: history in 7 minutes, which invites you to discover, analyze and explain in audio format these collective stories of the return to peace.
