A summer youth program covering a wide range of interests: from the origins of The Camino to Spanish language and culture. Immerse yourself for 3 weeks in the Catholic intellectual tradition of the Way of Saint James and discover the oldest pilgrimage trail in Europe.

Hosted by the University of Navarra’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences in Pamplona (Spain), this program is designed for high school students - rising sophomores (born in 2010) and rising juniors (born in 2009), both boys and girls. Combining liberal arts classes, Spanish lessons, and walking the first 4 stages of the Camino (from Roncesvalles through Pamplona and ending in Logroño, capital of La Rioja), this experience will broaden both your intellectual and cultural horizons. It is ideal for both native English and native Spanish speakers who want to improve their Spanish, explore the humanities, and experience a truly international learning environment. If you know zero Spanish, you will be placed in beginner-level classes, while native Spanish speakers—such as those attending bilingual schools—will take courses in Español Académico.

Students will explore our beautiful Pamplona campus by current university students. The program includes numerous activities such as an art workshop at the Museum of the University of Navarra, a guided tour of Pamplona’s historic center, and an archaeology lab. Participants will live with a host family, enjoy cultural immersion, and build friendships with students from different cultures. Time for faith-based activities will also be offered (daily Mass, meditation time, etc.).

Whether you're an English speaker aiming to accelerate your Spanish, or a Spanish-speaking student looking for a global academic experience, this program offers a unique blend of language learning, humanities seminars, cultural exploration, and outdoor adventure—culminating in curated stages of the Camino de Santiago.

All the activities involved in family life during their stay are geared toward creating a special synergy between student and family that lasts a lifetime.
