V Competition "Education, Science and Religion" (2021-22)

As a continuation of the project"Science and Religion in Spanish Schools", the grouporganises the annual competition Education, science and religion, with the following rules:

INSTRUCTIONSOF THE COMPETITION

  1. The competition is open to students who are studying Freshmen, Sophomore or 1º BACH at the time of the registration. The registration can be done through this link: https://forms.gle/LCDKUgz4B91XLTS86

  2. Students, individually or in group(with a maximum of three members), must present an unpublished workon a topicscience and faith, from the perspective considered most appropriate: sociological, philosophical, historical, pedagogical... generic or focused on a particular aspect.

  3. The workwill consist of a poster in A0 size, preferably, and not exceeding 120 cm x 90 cm in any case. A summaryof the project(about 100 words) must be sent to formalise the registration. The deadlineto send the complete workto the organisers will be Friday 29 April 2022. Both the clarification of doubts and the sending of the final workwill be done through the following email account: educacioncienciayreligion@gmail.com.

  4. The teachers in charge at each high schoolwill be able to suggest different topics or perspectives for the papers and help with bibliographyto the students who present themselves.

  5. Students selected to participate in the final phase will receive confirmation by Friday 13 May 2022. They will present their work at the "Primer congressde la Society of Catholic Scientists - Sección Española" to be held at the University of Navarra from 15-17 September 2022.

  6. The panel of judges will award the prizes on the morning of 16 September. That same day, in the afternoon, the three winning posters will have 10 minutes to present their work workand will have to answer questions from the audience at congress.

  7. The prizes for workwill consist of:

    1. First awardworth 600 €.

    2. Second awardworth 300 €.

    3. Third awardworth 100 €.

  8. The competition organisers reserve the right to change, extend or reduce the dates of the competition calendar for reasons of force majeure.

  9. Participation in this competition implies full acceptance of these rules and conformity with the decisions of the panel of judges. The interpretation of these rules corresponds to the organisers of the competition, so that any incident or claim related to this competition will be resolved by the directors of projectEducation , Science and Religion.

AUTHORSHIP AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

  1. Participants guarantee that they are the legitimate authors of the works submitted, that they hold the intellectual property rights required for the presentationof the works, with all their elements, and that the presentationof the same does not infringe the rights of third parties. Likewise, the participants are responsible for any claims that may be made at any time regarding the authorship and originality of the works and the ownership of the rights, all in accordance with the current rules and regulationson intellectual property, undertaking to hold the organisers harmless from any claims by third parties for infringement of property rights. The organisers shall not be liable for any claims or damages that may be caused by the infringement of the aforementioned rights.

  2. Participants cede to the organisers the right to publish their work on the project website, but remain the copyright holders and may publish their work elsewhere.

PROTECTION OF DATA

agreementIn accordance with the provisions of article5 of Organic Law 15/1999, of 13 December, on the Protection of Personal Data data staff , as well as the regulatory rules and regulationsthat specifically develops this area, you are informed that your datawill be included in a file owned by projectEducation , Science and Religion. Likewise, you are informed that you may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation and civil service examinationin the terms described in the current rules and regulations, by writing, attaching a copy of the National Identity Card, addressed to educacioncienciayreligion@gmail.com.
