Donations

The Library Services of the University of Navarra accepts donations of books and journals that can be added to its collection or sent to other institutions, such as NGOs or other libraries.

What donations are of interest to the Library Services

The following donations are of interest:

• Libraries of university professors, bibliophiles and, in general, libraries of topic specialised libraries, even if the collection they contain is not very extensive.
• Collections of journals, except for printed issues of journals for which you have a permanent right of access to their electronic version.
• Old books, pre-1835.
• Old archives or archives of important figures in recent history.

Which donations are of no interest to the Library Services

The donations that are of no interest are:

• Books in the field of experimental sciences prior to 2010, unless they are old (prior to the 20th century) or have a special value due to the dedication, the author or other circumstances.
• Books in poor condition (damaged binding, underlined, with annotations, etc.), unless they are old or of special value.

The Library Services reservation has the right to decide which works will be added to its collection.

How apply for duplicate books from donations

Donated books and journals that are not added to the collection of Library Services, because there are already a sufficient number of copies, are made available to institutions that wish to receive them.
