Loan

Who can borrow

Members of the University of Navarra (students, professors, researchers and staff), as well as invited visitors, alumni and members of institutions with which an agreement has been signed.

How many works and for how long

Each subject at Username has its own loan conditions. See how many books you can borrow at the same time and for how long.

Works that do not lend themselves

Magazines, dictionaries, encyclopaedias and works of special value, as well as other works marked with label are not lent out.

How and where to lend

If you have direct access to the works you wish to lend, you can take them from the shelf and go to the self-loan machines or to the counter at loan. If the work cannot be accessed directly, it must be requested from Unika, through the Get/apply for button on the corresponding registration screen. You will receive a notice via email when the work is available.

Check which documents I have on loan

In the My Account option you can consult the documents on loan and their return date.

reservation

If you request a book held by someone else you will receive a notice via email when it is available. You can cancel reservation from section under My Loans in My Account.

Return

Books on loan can be returned in the return boxes (located on floors 0 to 5 of the Library Services Central, on the entrance of the Library Services Central and outside the Sciences Building) and at the counter. A complimentary notice will be sent to your email address when the return date approaches.

Renewal

Works at loan can be renewed from the My Loans option, as long as they have not been reserved by another Username.

Sanctions

For each day a document is overdue, students at Degree will have their loan blocked for another day. In the case of master's students, teachers, researchers and employees, the loan will be blocked for one week for every 100 days of delay.

Loss of books

If a book is lost, Username will contact the Secretary's Office at Library Services (tel. 948 425 600 ext. 802400) to arrange for the purchase of a new copy.
