Patient-centered learning
We prepare professionals with a solid scientific and technical training, with a deep respect for human rights, the dignity of the sick person and their family, and with a deep social concern. The School of Medicine of the University of Navarra offers its students the possibility of fill in their training in the Degree in Medicine or in the Degree in Medicine + International Program with the Diploma in Biomedical Research or with the Diploma Surgical.
International Program in Medicine
This program educates students with a comprehensive global vision through its specialized courses, subjects taught in English and international clinical rotations.
Diploma Surgical
It includes theoretical-practical surgical subjects and a specific training in the Simulation Center that focuses on surgical and laparoscopic techniques.
Diploma in Biomedical Research
It is made up of theoretical and practical subjects that are studied in laboratories of the School of Medicine, the University of Navarra Clinic and the research center Applied Medicine (CIMA), under the direction of a tutor of research.

The School of Medicine is part of the BiomedicalCampus of the University of Navarra, which carries out an interdisciplinary and translational work covering multiple fields. This research activity, of international level, is developed from different Departments and centers, and promotes academic and social work that has an impact on the direct training of student.
The research of the clinical Departments of the School of Medicine is carried out at the framework of its teaching hospital: the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, while the Departments basics of #MedUNAV develop some very outstanding research lines.
For its part, the Cima University of Navarra plays a decisive role in the biomedical research developed at the University of Navarra. The Cima focuses its work on four priority areas of research , led by professors from the School of Medicine: Cardiovascular Sciences, Gene Therapy and Hepatology, Neurosciences and Oncology.
Likewise, in the Institute for Culture and Societyresearch center multidisciplinary focused on the search for scientific answers and innovative proposals that contribute to solving the main challenges of today's society, two projects led by #MedUNAV professors stand out: 'Education of affectivity and human sexuality' and 'Human dignity, advanced disease and palliative care'.
