October 1954 was a special month for the School: the first class of Medicine was taught and a unique way of teaching and practicing this profession began. This year we want to commemorate seven decades of academic excellence, innovation in medical research and commitment to service to society.

TEACHING, RESEARCH Y ATTENDANCE
The School of Medicine is located in a unique environment, closely linked to the Clínica Universidad de Navarra and the research center Applied Medicine (CIMA). Together, and with the other Schools of the area biosanitary, they make up the Campus Biomedical of the University of Navarra and form the pillars on which the academic proposal of #MedUNAV is based.
FIRST LEVEL HOSPITALS
Students receive an unparalleled clinical overview, thanks to rotations in a wide range of hospitals and medical centres: large public and private hospitals, national, regional and county referral hospitals, as well as general, specialised and primary care centres.
WORLD FEDERATION FOR MEDICAL EDUCATION
We are one of the first Spanish Schools with the International Quality Seal of the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME), a prerequisite for the specialization program or stays in the USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand from 2024.
ATTENTION CUSTOMIZED
Each student has, since his incorporation to the School of Medicine, the support of an academic mentor or advisor , who guides and informs him during the university programs of study . In the third year, the student is assigned a clinical tutor who will help him/her financial aid to achieve the objectives of his/her training .
Core Curriculum: teaching how to think
The Core Curriculum is the set of transversal subjects included in all the Degrees of the University of Navarra. Through them, it is intended to offer a humanistic Education , to promote the spirit of solidarity, as well as to develop the critical capacity to freely form one's own convictions.

CLÍNICA UNIVERSIDAD DE NAVARRA
More than 50 Departments and medical services in Madrid and Pamplona. More than 2,800 professionals dedicated exclusively to attendance, teaching and research. It was the first university hospital in Spain to be accredited by the Joint Commission International.
RESEARCH CENTER APPLIED MEDICINE (CIMA)
It was created with the mission to carry out translational research of excellence for the benefit of patients and society. Its vision is to be an international reference centre in biomedical research.
SIMULATION CENTER
Experiential learning
The students of Degree in Medicine carry out practical training in the Simulation Centre from the first year onwards. This provides them with cutting-edge, standardised practical training in a controlled and safe environment, which enhances their medical training.
LABORATORY MEDICAL ENGINEERING
Perfect tandem between physicians and biomedical engineers
Its goal is to provide practical teaching solutions and to add to the close partnership that exists between the Departments of the School, the services of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra and the laboratories of the research center Applied Medicine.

We want to help those students who dream of becoming doctors, have an excellent academic record at transcript but have limited financial resources. high school diploma but have limited financial resources. A programme promoted with the collaboration of alumni and friends of the School who help us to be able to award more scholarships every year.
BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
The School of Medicine offers a comprehensive training project . For this reason, students can combine their studies with activities that help them develop their artistic, musical, sporting, cultural or social talents, among others.
