The Diploma of Expert in Nursing with pathway in Intensive Care of the Clinic has the goal of train to professionals with the specific knowledge and attitudes necessary to provide comprehensive care to the person with severe compromise of their vital functions, or in status health that, for monitoring or treatment, requires the use of high specialization equipment.

The assessment of the assistance rotation through the different units and services is carried out by means of the self-assessment and assessment of general and specific competences, by the student, the mentor and coordinator of the program.

Assess the different processes that lead the patient to a critical status , plan nursing care and provide care prioritizing the needs.
Provide care to adult patients with various medical and/or surgical pathologies, in critical condition.
Provide care for adult patients with impaired vital organ function.
To know basic and advanced cardio-pulmonary resuscitation maneuvers in adult patients.
To know the basis and operation of the different monitoring and support equipment for vital functions used in the care of the patient in Intensive Care.
Detect and attend to the psychological and spiritual needs of the critically ill patient and his/her family, taking into account their cultural and social context.
Apply the scientific method in critical patient care.
Learn to work in partnership with the rest of professionals, patients and family in the achievement of the same goal in patient care.
To develop the professional activity making efficient use of available resources.
Assume the ethical responsibilities that derive from each professional action.

Have the degree scroll from graduate/diploma holder in Nursing or be in the process of obtaining it, before the date of joining the program.
Have completed the degree program preferably in the following years previous five years to this call.
Applications that have been submitted in previous calls for applications will not be accepted. have not passed the interview phase.
In the case of foreign candidates it is essential to have the degree scroll approved before June.
