The 92 new students of Master's Degree University Degree in Architecture, the Double Master's Degree University Degree in Architecture and Sustainability and the Double Master's Degree University Degree in Architecture and Real Estate start their futures, taking this first step towards their professional life.
At 9:00 the students arrive at postgraduate program at the University of Navarra in Madrid, excited to reunite with friends they met on their programs of study at Degree. The vast majority of the students come from the University of Navarra and the Polytechnic University of Madrid, so there are many who know each other. The first thing that is done is to give them a welcome bag, with their access cards to the headquarters, posters with their name on them for use during the courses, and a sweatshirt, among other things.
After this, the day's program continues at the classroom magna of the Alumni Building, as postgraduate program is also called. Carlos Naya, the director of the technical school of Architecture, welcomes them and talks to them about the importance of the master's degrees they are going to take.
Afterwards, the presentation of the directors and academic coordinators of the master's degrees begins, who give the details of each program and intervene in this order: the director of the Master's Degree University in Architecture (enabling), Jorge Tárrago; the director of the Master's Degree University in design and management Environmental Building, Purificación González; the manager academic of the Double Master's Degree University in Architecture and Sustainability, Aurora Monge; director of Master's Degree University in Strategy and Real Estate Business/Real Estate and manager Academic of the Double Master's Degree University in Architecture and Real Estate, Elena Lacilla; the coordinator of module of business, Óscar González.
Afterwards, Rosario Ruiz, coordinator of programs of study of the Programs Master's Degree, talks about the basics of campus and offers basic information about the masters, such as the choice of the Final Projects degree program (PFC). Rosario introduces Leire Zubieta, manager of the employment opportunities of the Programs Master's Degree, and Ana Vicente, in charge of Admissions postgraduate program.
At the end of this presentation, there is a coffee break where the students exchange their first impressions. In addition to their classmates and future friends, they are accompanied by the School's director , the directors of the master's programs and the School of Architecture team in Madrid.
At 12:00 begins the presentation of the 8 statements of the project End of degree program. First, Miguel Ángel Alonso, the president of the PFC tribunal, speaks and gives way to the presentation of the projects of all the tutors of the PFC: Eduardo Escauriaza, project Intervención en la Real Fábrica de Tapices (RFT) Atocha; Mayka García Hípola, project Centro Acuático. A problem, not a program; Antonio Vaillo, project Centro Cultural - Murallas; Jorge Tárrago, project Sitopía (from the Greek sitos, food, and topos, place) Futuros Alternativos; Carlos Brage, project Espacio de Producción Artística en Carabanchel; Elizabeth Abalo, project Con Vivir; César Azcárate, project Fundación Chillida, Sede en Madrid; and Alberto Veiga, project Centro de Colecciones de Madrid.
At the end of this session, a picture is taken of the class on its first day. When they are done with this stage, they will be able to look at that picture again and remember how it all started. The students of the enabling masters at School of Architecture are ready for this new adventure.
