The project 'ReCool. Passive cooling with selective coatings as a resilient cooling strategy in industry.' is led by principal investigator and professor at the School. Amaia Zuazua from Department of Building Construction, Services and Structures (CIE). The professors of the same department of the School also participate in it department José Antonio Sacristán, César Martín-Gómez, Marina Vidaurre Arbizu and Pablo Arias Salazar. In addition, in the project collaborates the Lurederra Technology Center.

The ReCool project , of an experimental nature, aims to develop passive cooling modules with advanced coatings and integrated into industrial buildings in order to improve the performance of the panels obtained so far in previous research. Thus, the challenges of the project are, on the one hand, to develop a spectrally selective coating for application in architecture and industry and, on the other hand, to design vertical dissipation modules to optimize both their dissipation capacity and their integration into the Building For this, the project is presented from a multidisciplinary consortium that aligns areas of different complementary fields for this proposal.
