Last September 4, Almudena Lacruz Navarrete, who completed her licentiate degree in Architecture from 2008-2014, visited our School after ten years living abroad.
Almudena started her professional career in 2013 at MONOLAB architects in Rotterdam, where she did an internship for six months and started her project de Fin de degree program (PFC). Afterwards, she returned to the School to finish the project and, in September, she was hired at 10Design. She spent two and a half years at the studio's headquarters in Edinburgh, and then moved to Hong Kong, where she has been for seven and a half years and remains to this day.
Almudena comments on what it has been like to return to the School after such a long time: "The last time I was at the School was 10 years ago, in 2014, when I graduated. As we were approaching, I commented to my mother that I wish I had the time now to go back to school and take better advantage of those six years, being more aware of how lucky you are to be able to train in something you like and that, many times, when you are so young, you don't fully appreciate".
