From October 14 to 18, the students of the 3rd year of Degree in programs of study Architecture made their academic stay in Paris. For five days, they toured the city and appreciated its architectural richness. Student Alessia Mantilla tells us about the experience:
"In these five days we toured and observed an immense range of art and architecture, which allowed us to understand a little better the soul and essence of a city like Paris. For many it was their first trip here, but I believe that even those of us who had already visited the city found it an opportunity to rediscover it with a renewed look. Paris is a city that perfectly harmonizes its historical richness with the intense rhythm of urban life. For a student of architecture, it is an open-air museum. But beyond that, Paris creates an intimate connection between the visitor and the environment. In its architectural uniformity, each street has its own personality, each neighborhood communicates a unique character.
Much of the learning of these academic stays takes place outside the schedule 'de class', in that free margin that we have in the afternoons. We divide into smaller groups and let ourselves be guided by the sensations that the place provokes in us. We explored the city with freedom and openness, feeling part of the society around us, understanding its essence through attentive and sensitive observation.
It has been an unforgettable week full of anecdotes. Everything we learned, both academically and staff, are feelings and intuitions that will help us grow as professionals, but what is even more valuable, as people".
