On Tuesday, October 15, the 3rd year students of Degree at design with accredited specialization in Product from School of Architecture exhibited their magazine rack prototypes.
As part of Creative Lab I's subject , students designed magazine holders that, in addition to fulfilling their basic function of storing and displaying magazines, also incorporate a critical and informed reflection on the future of print magazines.
The design should be able to store not only magazines, but also other media, such as catalogs, newspapers or even electronic devices. This adaptability is core topic in a context where the boundary between print and digital media is increasingly blurred. The object had to reflect this evolution, becoming a relevant and functional product, able to accommodate multiple formats and offer different uses.
One of the highlights of the project is that the students built their prototypes using the resources and tools at the School's laboratory , where they took their ideas from the conceptual design to physical creation.
