presentation of the PRISMA project at 'La fiesta de los investigadores: conectando ciencia y sociedad', organized by the University of Navarra

The project focused on sustainable development for the future of rural areas was presented by Rayder William Leonardo, researcher at the School of Architecture.

On Friday, April 4, the University of Navarra held 'La fiesta de los investigadores: conectando ciencia y cociedad', a workshop organized by the Scientific Culture and Innovation Unit of the University of Navarra, in partnership with the Science Museum, and sponsored by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT)

During the event, students, researchers and the general public had the opportunity to learn about advances in cancer treatments, new approaches to couple therapy, the ethics of artificial intelligence, the psychology of forgiveness, and nutrition applied to diseases, among other topics. 

Within the section 'My research 3', Rayder William Leonardoan engineer and researcher at the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, presented thePRISMA project , in which the School of Architecture collaborates. This initiative seeks to optimize the use of natural resources, contribute to climate change mitigation and generate new opportunities for the economic development of rural areas through adaptive multifunctional forest management .

The project also counts with the participation of the Chair Madera Onesta of the University of Navarra, whose work is mainly focused on the valorization of local wood species through the development of innovative technological products applied to construction. The project is coordinated by the Mancomunitat de Municipis Berguedans per a la Biomassa(MMBB) and counts with the participation of the Centre de Ciència i Tecnologia Forestal de Catalunya(CTFC), Baskegur, Foresna Zurgaia and the University of Navarra. PRISMA is supported by the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic challenge , within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union - Next Generation EU.
