Design Manifesto

The goal of project addressed the importance of graphic language as a communicative tool

An inherent condition of design is its ability to communicate. It is worth highlighting the fundamental role of design in the linguistic process, since the designer becomes the visual encoder of the message. Nowadays, in the society of overinformation and Big Data, the careful balance between the container -physical or digital- and content is a major issue to be taken care of. The designer must pay attention to the design of the information, making use of the graphic technique and playing with typography, white spaces, iconography, color, material, data, format... as inseparable elements of the content. The effective and impacting transmission as a communicative purpose has been, is and must be a field in constant exploration.

The project that the 2nd year students of design carried out consisted of designing a collective critical position based on the data that they had marked the previous year. To do this, they carried out an analysis of the information on the topic they wanted to deal with and made an infographic that would help to objectively visualize the problem or the new scenario posed by the chosen topic . Finally, a manifesto was also designed.

The goal of project addressed the importance of graphic language as tool communicative. The visual experimentation from the interpretation of data financial aid to build a visual and collective story, to try to communicate/awareness/design or "undesign" in a logical-illogical, creative, effective and intelligible way, solutions that are, or will be, part of our changing society.
