summary
Where is the real conflict? This is the title of Alvin Plantinga's book on the relationship between science and faith. According to the American philosopher there is an apparent conflict between faith and evolutionism. But this is a mere appearance and not a real conflict. There is also a superficial conflict and a hasty agreement to resolve this conflict, which is called " designspeech ". But the real conflict, what Plantinga calls the real conflict between science and faith, is provoked by a surprise guest: naturalism. This author argues that naturalism is incompatible with scientific rationality and that, therefore, it must be discarded in order to achieve a coherent scientific worldview. Finally, there is a profound agreement between science and faith that Plantinga develops in a similar way to what Mariano Artigas exposed in The Mind of the Universe.
