“In a small shared workshop in northern Madrid, there are no assembly lines or automated machines. There are paintbrushes, pigments, kilns, and dozens of tiles waiting for a patient hand to transform them into one-of-a-kind pieces. That hand belongs to Constanza Rosell (@consrosell_studio), one of the few women in Madrid today who works professionally in the field of handcrafted tile-making.”

She practices a centuries- official document —one that seemed doomed to disappear—and has decided to revive it, tile by tile. Her story began across the ocean. She grew up in Lima, and from a young age, she drew constantly, fascinated by art, biology, and history. She came to Spain eight years ago on a scholarship to study design at the University of Navarra. There, she discovered that she needed to work with her hands.”
