On Wednesday, March 26th, the students of the Master's Degree in Architecture(MUA) and the Master in Real Estate(MRE) of the postgraduate program of the University of Navarra in Madrid participated in the Recruiting Day. The 24 participating companies were: 3g Office, Adam Bresnick architects, alcolea+tárrago, ALMAR Consulting, Andcompany, BAO Proyectos, BarrioBohrer SLP, Be Grand, BETA Ø, Clikalia, Coll-Barreu Arquitectos, COPERNICUS SERVICING SL, Gloval Valuation SAU, GOS-ARCHLAB Intermediation, HXR, Investrock Capital, Israel Alba Estudio, Life 3A, López y Tena Arquitectos, Olalquiaga Arquitectos, Ortiz Leon Arquitectos SLP, Paloma Cañizares Office, Savills, Tini Living and UPP.
Alejandro Quintana Saiz, student of the Master's Degree in Architecture, shares with us what the event was like:
"Marked by excitement and nerves, the event gave students the opportunity to interview with prestigious architecture programs of study , mainly from Madrid and Pamplona. The participating firms were announced in advance and the students, on March 3, selected three programs of study or firms according to a ranking based on their academic transcript . The goal of this workshop was to facilitate the selection process, allowing the firms to meet the candidates and choose the most suitable profiles to offer them internships, which will begin on June 16.
During the morning, all the seminars in the building became the setting for numerous average interviews, in which students had the opportunity to introduce themselves, talk with the interviewers, resolve doubts and establish connections for their professional future. In my case, I had the opportunity to meet with the three programs of study I had selected.
The workshop, intense and dynamic, began at 10:00 and lasted until after 14:00. Following a previously assigned shift schedule , the students took advantage of each meeting to highlight their strengths, present their achievements and reflect on their areas for improvement, with the goal of differentiating themselves and leaving a lasting impression on the interviewers.
Despite the tension inherent in this subject of event, the atmosphere was surprisingly relaxed. The students left with a general feeling of satisfaction and enthusiasm, looking forward to the results of the selection process.
In final, the Recruiting Day not only represented a unique opportunity to access a first professional experience, but also a valuable learning experience to face future interviews with greater confidence and the imminent professional stage that awaits at the end of the Master's Degree".
