Habic-Basque Living Donostia Hosts the sample : “Beyond Criticism” 2026

After touring Madrid, Bilbao, and A Coruña, sample : ‘Beyond Criticism’ 2026 sample opened at Habic-Basque Living Donostia on June 11, where it will remain on view through June 25. The exhibition the best final projects degree program alumni Master's Degree of Navarra’sMaster's Degree in Architecture .

 During the event, Sofía Aldama, a former student in the Master's Degree in Architecture, will present her projectIn terram". The proposal the concept of "commensality"—the primal and social act of gathering to share a meal underground or around a fire—. Located in the northwest section of the historic Quinta de los Molinos estate in Madrid, the design organized in an ascending, “entrenched” manner along a diagonal that runs from the most public areas (commensality) to the most private ones (residency program).

GOI.SPACE-159A

The inauguration was also attended by Roberto Pérez-Guerras, who presented his project, "GOI.SPACE-159A", a work in the Carabanchel neighborhood that involves transforming the Goicoechea-Isusi Foundation Mansion. The building is a late 19th-century Neo-Mudejar structure that was repurposed as a nursing home and has stood abandoned since the 1990s. This new proposal revitalize the space through modular units that connect living spaces and galleries.

Following the presentations, architect Francisco Mangado offered an architectural critique of the sample the projects on display.
