1st year students of design visit the Guggenheim Museum and the Cristóbal Balenciaga Museum.

The students of the 1st year of Degree in design made an academic visit to Bilbao and Getaria to visit these museums. The student Pablo Aguilar Torres summarizes how the trip went.

Last Tuesday, October 8, the students of the 1st year of Degree in design of the School of Architecture made an academic visit to Bilbao and Getaria to visit the Guggenheim Museum. Guggenheim Museum and the Balenciaga Museum, respectively.

The student Pablo Aguilar Torres tells us what the experience has been like:

"We started the day with a trip to Bilbao with destination the Guggenheim Museum, where we appreciated both modern and contemporary art. After having lunch in the area, we headed to Getaria to visit the Balenciaga fashion collection, where we were guided through the history of this celebrated local couturier.

This has been a journey full of experiences, art, admiration and amazement, which has allowed us to enter into the minds of all these artists and understand art in a more orderly way.

The general opinion agrees that the works that combine plays of light and abstract pieces have been the ones that have impressed the audience the most, leaving them astonished. However, tastes do not always coincide and, as expected, Balenciaga has captured the attention of some thanks to his exhibitions with a great variety of fabrics and sewing techniques.

In Bilbao and Getaria, students from the first year of design arrived, but they left with a different perspective of art, full of passion and eager to be part of history".
