Culture Club

The Culture Club of the Higher Technical School of Architecture is a student-led initiative open to the entire school community that seeks to complement the academic training through direct experiences with architecture, art, and cultural heritage.
HOW DID IT COME ABOUT?
The club was founded in response to the students’ own concerns after they noticed that many of the buildings, museums, churches, and sites of great architectural and cultural value that are studied in the classroom are not always included in the regular academic field trips.
Recognizing that architecture is best understood when experienced firsthand—taking into account its context, scale, materials, and relationship with its surroundings—the club offers a space to discover and appreciate this heritage beyond the classroom, accompanied by professors and professionals in the field.
ACTIVITIES
The club organizes various cultural activities throughout the school year to broaden the students' knowledge of architecture and art:
-
Weekend trips: One or two per semester, designed to explore cities and historical-architectural sites of special interest (such as Madrid, Granada, and Córdoba, among others).
-
Day Trips: Nearby excursions to visit landmarks, museums, and unique sites, such as the Burgos Cathedral or the Oteiza Museum.
-
Guided tours with experts: Tours led by faculty members from the School, architects, historians, and other specialists who share their insights and knowledge on site.
HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
The club holds biweekly meetings to plan upcoming destinations, evaluate students' proposals, and coordinate the logistics of the activities.
All the latest news, dates, and forms from " registration " are posted on the WhatsApp group "group ." They are also shared via the " Instagram" account: @cultura_etsaun.
