As explained to the students in the statement of this exercise, it is part of the contents of the subject Integration Laboratories III. It has a double purpose: goal: "firstly, to serve as an introduction to the reproduction of objects by molding; secondly, to develop some of the skills necessary for the creation of an object from its prototyping to its final finishing''.
The exercise consists of the design and fabrication of a series of modular columns in plaster. The students have worked in pairs for the design and construction of each of the modules in clay for. They then made a plaster reproduction using an alginate mold. Finally, they were divided into groups to assemble the columns.
With this project, the students have sought to express their creativity through totems representing different scenes or figures. Among them, you can see the tentacles of an octopus, a figure of a rounded body, the exaggerated features of a face and even a person with a child in her arms.
