'Drawing dance' from a piece of music

The 1st year students of Degree at design have designed scenographies as part of the subject Art and Culture of the Last Century.

The students of the 1st year of Degree at design have created a series of proposals for the scenography of an instrumental musical piece titled Re: Finding composed by Diego Case. This is an exercise they have done in the subject Art and Culture of the Last Century taught by Diego Caro.

In groups of 8 people, they analyzed the music taking into account aspects such as its sonority, structure, instrumentation, rhythm and the feelings/sensations it aroused in them. They then worked on a concept that could be adapted to a potential stage performance of the song through dance.

This concept was expressed through a series of paintings made with colored tempera on 100x70cm cardboard supports, as well as in some brief texts. framework The activity was part of the study of the first artistic avant-gardes of the 20th century and, more specifically, after having analyzed the work Consecration of Spring, by Igor Stravinsky, at class .
