The subject technical installations has never been the easiest to engage architecture students with, and the onset of the pandemic in 2020 did nothing to improve the status, explains César Marín-Gómez, a professor at the School of Architecture the University of Navarra. The challenge screens and online classes encouraged him to turn that difficulty into an educational opportunity, and thus “Instalomía dibujada” was born, an exhibition transforms technical and energy systems into digital representations.
This semester, the Alumni Building at the University of Navarra hosted the sample for a week, showcasing a project “began as an exploration staff professor,” notes Martín-Gómez.
After coining a new term, "drawn installomics," which involves depicting the Anatomy building systems and transforming these systems into digital drawings, the next step will be the publication of a book featuring the more than 400 drawings collected—a project is already underway and will soon be released.
