38 companies are participating in Recruiting Day II in Madrid

On May 13, students in Master's Degree Dual Master's Degree Architecture and Real Estate (MAR), Master's Degree Dual Master's Degree Architecture and Sustainability (MAS), and the Master's Degree management design management of Buildings (MDGAE) participated in the second edition of Recruiting Day

The 38 participating companies had the opportunity to identify student profiles during a workshop goal streamline the selection process and offer internship opportunities.

Our student Jaime Alonso Feijoó, from Master's Degree Double Master's Degree Architecture and Real Estate (MAR), describes his experience: “Recruiting Day is one of the conference look conference most during the academic year, because it marks our first contact with the professional world in this sector. A few weeks before the event, we were given a list of the companies that would be participating, and each of us had to choose our top three. Based on that selection, and taking our transcript into account, we were assigned interviews. Although it might seem like a formality, this preliminary step made me think a lot about which business subject interested business most, what I wanted to get out of the internship, and where I’d like to focus my professional future.”

On the day of the event, the classrooms and seminar rooms at the venue were transformed into small interview rooms. We were each given a schedule our assigned time slots, and we moved from one business another for thirty-minute meetings. In my case, I had three interviews that morning with programs of study : López y Tena, Adam Bresnick Architects, and Olalquiaga Architects. I won’t deny it: before starting, I was pretty nervous, especially since it was my first time facing something like this. But as soon as the first interview began, my nerves disappeared almost immediately. More than an exam, it felt like a conversation between two people who wanted to get to know each other.

In summary, the workshop a very positive experience. Beyond the opportunity to secure an internship, it helped me overcome my fear subject , learn how to introduce myself, and get a much clearer picture of what the industry is really like from the inside. I ended the day feeling positive, eager to find out how the process plays out, and with the understanding that this is just the first step toward what lies ahead after I complete my Master's Degree.
