Last Tuesday, November 21st,Elena Martín Cuesta, Sustainability Director of Ilunion Hotels, visited School of Architecture . As part of the subject of Circular Design, she presented to the students of 4th of design a project focused on the services of the hotel chain.
Students must develop a project that provides ideas and solutions to reduce food waste in hotels, from agreement as foreseen in the proposal reform of the Waste Directive (July 5, 2023).
As explained in the statement of the project, ''this is a few-week work , very focused on designing services or products that could help hotels to implement the new measures''. Students will have to come up with ideas for hotel guests, for restaurant employees, to raise awareness, applications or services to better calculate diners or find users to pick up leftovers with another application.
