On February 25, the 3rd year students Degree the accredited specialization in Product design visited four companies in the furniture sector. Irma Cohen, student of the Degree, tells us about the experience:
"We had the opportunity to visit four prestigious companies in the furniture sector: Sokoa, Sellex, Ondarreta and Enea. The workshop combined presentations on the Philosophy of each business with tours of their facilities, where we were able to learn about their design and manufacturing processes.
These visits allowed us to understand the importance of sustainable design , innovation in design and materials, and the way in which each business interprets the functionality and aesthetics of their products. In addition, we were able to observe how the combination of handcrafted work with current technology allows faster solutions in the manufacture of furniture.
What I enjoyed most about this experience was seeing the production of the products in action and being able to witness the entire process, from the conception of the idea to its final manufacture."
