5th year Architecture students experience an academic stay in Bordeaux

From Thursday, September 4 to Saturday, September 6, the students of the 5th year of Architecture carried out an academic stay in Bordeaux, within the framework of the Design Studio I of the accredited specialization Urbana.

The exercise consisted of designing an affordable housing complex in Pasaia with the attendance of Christophe Hutin, visiting professor and Asier Santas, professor at the School.

During their stay, the students were able to visit renovated buildings, collective housing and urban spaces, "architecture in which Bordeaux is currently a reference letter ," explains Asier Santas.

Christophe Hutin's office is located in the French city and in addition to visiting his studio, the students visited the 530 houses rehabilitated by the architect, award Mies van der Rohe 2019; the Ekko houses by Duncan Lewis, nominated for the award Mies van der Rohe 2024; the Cathedral of Bordeaux, the place Pey-Berland by Francisco Mangado and the Botanical Garden of Bordeaux.
