Before the beginning of this course (23-24), the students of Master's Degree in design and management Environmental Buildings made an international stay at the National University of Singapore (No. 11 in the QS Ranking and No. 8 in Architecture).
During that week they were integrated in the classroom with the students of Master's Degree Integrated Sustainable Design in Architecture of the NUS for a workshop on 'Regenerative Architecture in Tropical Climates' which proved to be of great interest, as many of the students come from tropical countries in Latin America.
Through lectures by Professor Nirmal Kishnani, Wong Mun Sumn and Marianne Amores Dutta, students critically analyzed the rise of the sustainable building movement in tropical Asia and the challenges faced in recent decades in adapting to climate change and the necessary urbanization of cities. Multiple examples of projects built in Asia, from a sustainable and regenerative perspective, were presented and discussed.

In addition, the students had the opportunity to visit unique buildings with the architects who designed them, such as Pan Pacific Hotel and Kampung Admiralty with Mr. Wong Mun Summ (WOHA) and The Pinnacle with Mr. Peng Beng (ARC+RSP). As well as other buildings such as Khoo Tech Puat Hospital. All of them examples of design biophilic and regenerative.
