The 3rd year students of the accredited specialization in design Services visit Milan

Matzayani García, a student who participated in the academic trip, tells us about the experience.

"During our stay in Milan, we were privileged to immerse ourselves in a series of experiences that not only enriched our understanding of design, but also helped in our understanding of design services. On the first day of our trip, we went to the ADI Museum, where we were able to visit the workshop under the guide of visiting professor, Fabrizzio Pierandrei, who had given us class in the past at the University. This gave us the opportunity to share and discuss our projects while immersing ourselves in the different exhibits of the museum.

The following day, we visited the Politecnico di Milano, where we were able to learn from a collaborative project of design services in close connection with the local community. This allowed us to see the implementation internship of a project of design that directly benefited the community. Our tour of the Polytechnic gave us a glimpse of other ongoing design of services projects, including the 'Off Campus Nolo'. During this visit, we were privileged to meet with designer and guest lecturer Laura Galuzzo, with whom we shared our projects and received guidance for improvement, as well as instruction in tools provided by guest lecturers.

On the last day of our stay, we were able to visit the offices of PACO Design Collaborative, a business that showed us how to carry out larger projects at partnership with local communities. She showed us how our discipline can have a positive impact, not only in our own community, but also in others, generating a transformation in their lives. In addition, we received guidance on the different job opportunities, including the possibility of internships.

We were also able to visit the Castiglioni Foundation, where we immersed ourselves in Castiglioni's most significant designs and the inspiration behind his creations. It was an educational, fascinating and enriching visit . The end of our trip was a workshop on prototyping with Fabrizzio Pierandrei, a rewarding and educational experience from which we learned valuable lessons.

This trip has been a special experience that has not only allowed us to explore captivating places, but has also strengthened our bonds as group and with our professors. It has result been beneficial not only socially, but also from a professional point of view, providing us with guidance and clarity to develop our academic projects with a more professional approach ."
