The 4th year students of Degree at design visit the 'Four Decades' collection at the Museum of the University of Navarra.

They have made the visit as part of the subject elective subject Photography

On Monday, September 16, the 4th year students of Degree in design, of the Product, Fashion and Services mentions, visited the exhibition Four decades at the Museum of the University of Navarra. This activity is part of the subject elective subject Photography, taught by Alicia Fernández Barranco, and was attended by the guest photographer Valentín Vallhonratco-director of the Museum, visual artist and expert in photography conservation.

During the visit, students were able to see first-hand one of the best photographic collections in Spain. Through the works exhibited in the collection, 185 years of art history are traced, as well as the beginnings of photography in 1839 to the present day. Among the works on display are the collections of Ortiz Echagüe, María Josefa Huarte and the Tender Bridges artistic residency program.

From agreement with professor Alicia Fernández, the subject Photography seeks to combine a professional look with an artistic approach and that students develop photographic projects applied to their respective mentions, in addition to making a more free and creative final project . To this end, Vallhonrat will give two master sessions in which students will analyze the Museum's collections and develop their own photographic projects.

The exhibition Four Decades will be open to the public from September 24, 2024 to August 24, 2025, offering a unique opportunity to explore the evolution of the visual image through its most representative works.
