"On Tuesday, February 11, the Municipal Public Library Eugenio Trias, located in the Retiro Park in Madrid, hosted the event 'TERMINUS. Beyond Criticism', framed within the Terminus exhibition . This sample, which is on display from February 7 to 24, highlights the best Final degree program Projects of the students of the Master's Degree Habilitante of the University of Navarra.
The workshop began with an introduction by Miguel Ángel Alonso del Val, former director of the School of Architecture and current president of the jury for project Fin de degree program. Miguel Ángel introduced the invited jury, composed of César Ruiz-Larrea, architect and urban planner, founder of César Ruiz-Larrea y Asociados; Carlos Muriel, architect from the European University of Madrid and, since September 2023, director for Europe at PGI; and architect Julio Touza, who was also present at the event.
During the event, two projects carried out in Madrid were presented, each with a different approach and program.
The first to exhibit was Adriana García, with her project graduate 'La place a pie del silo', directed by professor Jorge Tárrago. Her proposal highlights the pre-existing silo, generating an architecture that functions as a 'pedestal' for it, and taking advantage of its interior to create versatile spaces that respect its structure and aesthetics.
Next, María Gil presented her project 'M. Confidencial' located in Somosaguas and directed by professor Luis Tena. This work proposes the creation of an exhibition space for two sisters who have inherited an extensive art collection, incorporating areas to accommodate guests and encourage interaction between art and everyday life.
The Terminus exhibition is still open to the public until February 24 at the Eugenio Trías Library, offering a unique opportunity to learn about the most innovative proposals of future architects trained at our institution.
This subject events strengthens the relationship between the University of Navarra and the professional sector, providing students with a platform to showcase their talent and receive direct feedback from experts, while consolidating the prestige of the School of Architecture at national and international level".
