What is #EnfSolidaria?
With the initiative of volunteer activities and cooperation #EnfSolidaria the School of Nursing of the University of Navarra offers its students an experience to discover how with their profession they can contribute their bit to help improve the world.
To this end, from the area of cooperation and volunteer activities, we select each year projects that not only contribute to the human development of the beneficiaries to whom they are intended, but also promote growth staff of our students, while reinforcing the professional skills they acquire throughout the degree program. In summary, from the School of Nursing we offer our students the opportunity to collaborate in a volunteer activities specialized in their professional field.
The projects we offer come to us from three different sources:

Tantaka: from the wide range of projects coordinated by this entity, we have made a selection of the initiatives that best fit the specialized volunteer activities that we promote from the School de Enfermería.

Entities that need the profile volunteer / cooperating nurse who is studying in our School contact us to ask for your proposal through this mail hgonzal@unav.es.

Our own students are promoters of solidarity projects and from School we help them to develop their initiative once we test its viability with them.

Description: From the residency program Bidealde we are looking for volunteers to dedicate 1 hour any day of the week at the residency program Beloso Bidealde, accompanying our elders and conducting workshops with them.

Description of the project: A group of volunteers who are part of the Eques student group, formed by students of Medicine and Nursing of the University of Navarra are dedicated to teach training on first aid and CPR in schools, teachers, children, firefighters, police, associations.
If you are interested in this volunteer activities EQUES members will train you in this field and you will be able to help teach others how to save lives.

Description of project: Accompanying children who are hospitalized with cancer in the afternoons at the CUN. Our role, and yours as a volunteer, will be to make their time there more bearable.
Dates and times: Monday to Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Description of project: This health promotion project focuses on Education to improve the quality of life through the diagnosis of the needs of families: nutrition, educational and informative material, disease prevention campaigns, implementation of workshops update of kidney diseases, diabetes, dermal and cardiovascular diseases.
Dates and times: Possible from February to November
Investment required: Minimum six weeks. The student covers your travel and living expenses.

Description of project: The WALÉ Medical-Social Center (CMS) is a primary health care facility that provides health services to the poor in Yamoussoukro, Côte d'Ivoire.
It is an initiative and a means of action of AIFUP (Association Ivoirienne pour la Formation Universitaire et Professionnelle); a group of doctors who wish to provide a solution to health problems due to poverty and insufficient awareness and information on these issues.
CMS Walé aims to "Contribute to improving the quality of life of the population, mainly in health-related aspects."
Dates and schedules: Minimum one month of your choice: June, July, August and September.
Investment required: accommodation (about 10€/day) or even free if you prefer to live in the house of the hospital director .
The student covers the cost of flights, insurance, food and other personal expenses.

Description: NGO Rafiki.
Months: 3 in July and 3 in August. The accommodation has a cost with food of 10€ per day.

Description of project: Baca/Ortiz Public Pediatric Hospital in Ecuador. It has all medical and surgical specialties. Each volunteer will rotate two weeks for the specialization program that he/she manifests to Tantaka in advance.
Dates and schedules: 30 days per month June, July or August. workshop full duty rotation
Investment required: Travel, insurance and vaccinations.

Recognition of Credits
If you participate as a volunteer in the projects that we offer you from #EnfSolidaria, as well as helping to improve the world we live in and contributing to your personal and professional development you can validate qualification up to three credits from discipline.
There are two ways to achieve validation:
If you have participated in a national volunteer activities :
Validation of 1 credit
→ requirements to accomplish:
25 hours of accredited volunteer activities + attendance to one of these two courses from training:
(a) to be empowered to understand disability
b) volunteer activities social
The maximum number of credits to validate qualification will be three if you have participated in three experiences of volunteer activities.
If you have participated in an International volunteer activities
Recognition of 3 credits
→ requirements to accomplish:
1 month experience in an international cooperation project + attendance to training course cooperation to development + report in which you reflect on your volunteer experience.
Tantaka is the entity in charge of issuing the report so that you can then validate qualification your credits at Office of the Registrar. Therefore you must send to Tantaka tantaka@unav.es or hand deliver to them all the required information.
