Special Collections
This collection is made up of printed works from the 15th to the 19th centuries. Of particular note are the 86 incunabula, a variety of thematic works, as well as interesting volumes printed between 1801-1835. In addition, there is a large group of pamphlets, an important collection of prints and engravings, a few manuscripts, periodicals, maps and some special materials from the 19th and 20th centuries, which, due to their unique value, require special conservation and care.
With the aim of preserving the bibliographic heritage, while at the same time making its study and dissemination compatible, access to consult is regulated.
Who can consult the Special collection
Students of postgraduate program, professors and employees of the University of Navarra can consult the Special Collection .
Alumni with access for research, visiting researchers, members of institutions with agreements, as well as members of association of Friends of the University can also apply for consult.
How to consult the Special collection
Locate and request at Unika the works you wish to consult. Go to Special collection room (Main Library, seminar 4D) from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to consult the requested works.
Request before 9:30 a.m. the works you need for the same day. Requests received after 9:30 a.m. will be served the following day.
A maximum of 10 volumes can be apply for . If you exceptionally need to consult more, please ask the librarian.

Policy
The use of the Special collection requires special care, so please respect policy:
- Leave your belongings (bags, briefcases, folders, notebooks, warm clothes) in the wardrobe at room.
- Use only pencil, paper and computer.
- Show the corresponding identification document, as well as purses and bags, whenever requested to do so.
- No smoking, no food or drink and no talking on mobile phones is allowed on Special collection room.
Reproduction of works
It is possible to make digital reproductions, up to a maximum of five pages, on the equipment installed at room. If the issue number of copies is higher or higher quality reproductions are required for study, research or publication purposes, a fill in form of application is required. The Library will authorise and budget the requests.
Fees for members of the University of Navarra:
- 1-20 pages: free of charge (€1 if CD recording is requested).
- 21-50 pages: 15€.
- More than 50 pages: upon acceptance of budget.
Fees for people outside the University:
- 1-20 pages: 15€.
- 21-50 pages: 45€.
- More than 50 pages: upon acceptance of budget.
