The Chair of Heritage and Navarrese Art of the University of Navarra organized in partnership with the City Council of Pamplona and the association of Friends of the Camino de Santiago in Navarra the course "The Camino de Santiago and the roots of the West", which was taught in 12 sessions throughout the months of February and May 2010, with the participation of professors from the University of Navarra, Public University of Navarra, Complutense de Madrid, Basque Country, Barcelona, Autónoma de Madrid and other regional institutions.

Initially the issue was set at 120 places, but the high demand from interested parties led to double the issue enrollment to 240 attendees, moving the cycle from the Palacio del Condestable, where it was initially planned, to the Civivox Iturrama.

The presentation of the course took place on February 17, 2010, with the participation of Mr. Alberto Catalán, Councilor of Education of the Government of Navarra, Mrs. Yolanda Barcina, Mayor of Pamplona, Mrs. Mª Victoria Arraiza, President of the association of Friends of the Camino de Santiago in Navarra and Mrs. Mª Concepción García Gainza, President of the Chair of Heritage and Navarrese Art of the University of Navarra.
