PRESENTATION OF THE COURSE
On 3, 4 and 5 September 2013, the University of Navarra's Chair de Patrimonio y Arte Navarro held the summer course En torno al IV Centenario del Greco (1541-1614). Las Artes en Navarra en la época del Greco, which was attended by more than 120 people. framework The lectures were held at auditorium of the Civivox Condestable in Pamplona, where several professors and specialists in the field subject, from the Museo del Greco in Toledo and the universities of Navarre, Zaragoza and UNED Pamplona, as well as from Chair of Heritage and Art in Navarre, gave the same number of sessions. The course was inaugurated with lectures given by Ana Carmen Lavín Berdonces, director of the Museo del Greco in Toledo, who focused on the figure of El Greco, his life and work, as well as the repercussions that the Cretan painter has had in the imperial city since his figure was recovered at the beginning of the 20th century.
