PRESENTATION OF THE COURSE
On 26, 27 and 28 August 2014, the Chair de Patrimonio y Arte Navarro of the University of Navarra, at partnership with Castel Ruiz de Tudela, held the summer course Mecenas, promotores y patronos de las Artes en Tudela, which was attended by more than 120 people. The lectures were held at framework auditorium of the Palacio Decanal-Museo de Tudela, where various professors and specialists in the field subject, from the Museum of Navarre, the University of Zaragoza and UNED Pamplona as well as Chair of Heritage and Art in Navarre gave the same number of sessions. The course was inaugurated by the Mayor of Tudela, Luis Casado, the Councillor for Culture of Tudela Town Council, Mercedes San Pedro, and the director of the Chair de Patrimonio y Arte Navarro, Ricardo Fernández Gracia. Over the course of three days, among other topics, paintings, sculptures, altarpieces, patrons and patrons, devotions, as well as town planning and civil architecture in Tudela were analysed, along with two guided tours of the cathedral and the church of the Compañía de María.
