OPENING OF THE COURSE

The Chair of Heritage and Navarrese Art of the University of Navarra, with the special partnership of the Cultural Center Castel Ruiz of Tudela, gave the course "Acercar el patrimonio. Tudela, in the framework of the program of the "Summer Courses of the Universities of Navarre 2008" on September 2, 3, 4 and 5, 2008. The sessions took place mostly in the auditorium of the Dean's Palace of Tudela, packed with more than 120 enrolled people who followed attentively the lessons that addressed the knowledge of the cultural assets and artistic heritage of the capital of the Ribera Navarre from the Age average to the twentieth century, to which was added a series of scheduled visits to explain in situ some of the most remarkable monuments of the city in order to make the audience perceive, in a direct way, the value multidisciplinary of them.

The official opening of the academic year was attended by Mr. Luis Casado Oliver, Mayor of the City Council of Tudela; Mr. Pedro González Felipe, Director General of Universities of the Government of Navarre; and Mr. Ricardo Fernández Gracia, Deputy Director of the Chair of Heritage and Art of Navarre.
