Dr. José Javier Azanza López
Full Professor of Art History at the University of Navarra. He also teaches teaching of postgraduate program at the Universities of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Piura (Peru). She is a member of the Chair de Patrimonio y Arte Navarro and of the group de research TriviUN (Theater, Literature and Visual Culture) of the University of Navarra. He has expanded his training through stays in various European and American centers.
His research activity is oriented towards the cataloguing and protection of cultural heritage; modern and contemporary architecture and sculpture; and iconography, emblematics and visual culture. He has more than 250 publications including monographs, articles in scientific journals and collaborations in collective works. He has directed and taken part in several inter-university projects with public or private funding. He has given numerous lectures, both academic and informative. He has been the organiser of five international conferences, curator of five exhibitions, publisher of four publications and director of six doctoral works thesis .
He holds various positions at management and academic coordination, sits on scientific and editorial committees, and his work as an evaluator is required by national and international journals. He is a member of several cultural associations and is board member of committee Navarro de la Cultura y las Artes, as well as of its Publications and Historical Heritage commissions. He is also vice-president of the Spanish Society of Emblematics.
