Introduction

This virtual visit intends to continue with the project started in 2022, focused on the town councils of the Merindad de Pamplona, in which nine of the most significant town halls of this demarcation were analyzed.

The historical context, as well as the architectural circumstances and urban planning considerations that were provided in that informative study, are fully applicable and extensible to the sections offered in the present research, and therefore it is not necessary to dwell again on its development, which on the other hand can be easily consulted.

In this campaign, visit has focused on the merindades of Estella and Olite, stopping at some of the most interesting town halls located there: Allo, Los Arcos, Estella and Viana in the former; Larraga, Olite, Tafalla and Miranda de Arga in the latter.

For this purpose, result has been very useful programs of study generalists, such as the Monumental Catalog of Navarra or the Gran Enciclopedia de Navarra, and other more monographic ones such as those provided by the Panorama collection, the Revista Príncipe de Viana, or the Cuadernos de la Chair de Patrimonio y Arte Navarro, among many others. Also of special relevance is the pioneering monograph entitled Casas Consistoriales en Navarra, published in 1988. Apart from this, the web pages of the aforementioned town halls provide valuable information that complements the visit. We owe their existence to all of them.

It is planned to complete this overview of Navarre's municipalities with a third submission, which will address the two missing merindades, Sangüesa and Tudela, which also have notable examples of this civil architecture subject .
