Baroque Houses and Palaces in Tudela

aula_abierta_itinerarios_16_introduccion

Introduction

A tour of the Baroque palaces of Tudela is to contemplate one of the best examples of Navarrese architecture; the capital of the Ribera became a regional center of this art in the 17th and 18th centuries, an exporter of artists and projects. Continuing the quality of the magnificent Renaissance residences, the main houses of the nobility during the Baroque follow the model present in the Middle Ebro Valley: large brick residences with galleries of semicircular arches, huge balconies of great flight, and especially, oversized central staircases with impressive examples of skylight towers.
