The new place in 1923
The inauguration of the placetook place on Monday 30th July 1691 during the festivities of Santa Ana and was a famous event for Tudela and the towns of the merindad. It was an event full of expectation, celebrated with the best bulls from the best stud farms in the surrounding area. As it was impossible to finish all the ironwork on the balconies for this celebration, temporary wooden protections had to be installed. Even so, the balconies of the placewere packed with distinguished personalities to watch the bullfights. placeFor decades, it was used as a bullring until the creation of a new one promoted by the "boardde Beneficencia". The last bullfight was held during the patron saint's fiestas of Santa Ana in 1841.
