"The song represents my experiences and my emotions," so says Kang Zheng, a 28-year-old Chinese student at School of Theology and winner of the V edition of La Voz de tu School, organized by the University of Navarra Museum.

"It was composed in two parts, for two songs special to me: Amazing Grace and Hallelujha. When I performed it, I wasn't representing something from someone else or the original singer, but I was telling part of me," adds Kang, who during the final gala dedicated award to his sister, who was following the contest on streaming from her hometown in China.

This is the first time that a student from School of Theology wins this contest. In second place was Álex Álvarez, from the School of Economics; and in third place, Gabriela Pombo, from the School of Medicine.

Kang explains that he didn't know about this competition until his friend Renato encouraged him to participate: "Although I did it with fear and a bit of embarrassment. I didn't expect to win, and at first I didn't tell anyone. Many of my friends found out a few days before the final concert. I practiced when I had some time, at home, on my way to class or on my way to mass," he recounts.

She says it has been an honor and a source of pride to represent the School. "For me, it has been a very beautiful and unforgettable experience of my university life. I have been able to work with music professionals, it has allowed me to meet many talented young people from other Schools and I have sung in a theater in front of many people. I am very grateful to the University Museum, to Jana Productions, to my friends and to God for having had such a great opportunity", he concludes.
