Joaquín Giráldez, awarded by the Spanish Society of Hospital Pharmacy
The professor of the School Pharmacy receives the award Mostachón de Oro (Golden Mostachón)
Joaquín Giráldez, professor of department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology of the School of Pharmacy and director of the Hospital Pharmacy Service of the Clínica Universidad de Navarrahas been awarded with the award Mostachón de Oro 2011, granted by the Sociedad Española de Farmacia Hospitalaria (Spanish Society of Hospital Pharmacy).
The recognition -the highest award granted by this Society and which has only been given to two other people in the last 70 years- pays tribute to Dr. Giráldez "for the important career that this fellow citizen of Utrera has been developing throughout his life, being now about to retire".
The award, of international prestige, was received with great emotion by Dr. Giráldez: "It was a real surprise for me. I am used to receiving awards, but none like this one". "My relatives and my team are also very happy," he emphasized.
