These pages, which are not a commentary on the Pope's Exhortation, seek to point out some of the "perspectives" whose light is needed in the treatment of certain questions which, as the Pope indicates, require greater attention.

The book is divided into three parts. The first presents the "perspectives" that, in a certain sense, traverse the text of the Exhortation. The second part presents a consideration of the "points" or "lights" that indicate the horizon and the steps to follow in the response to be given to particular questions.

Finally, the third part reflects on how to proceed in certain matters that require particular attention; specifically, the accompaniment of married couples "in the first years of married life"; those that are required "as the years go by"; and those alluded to in the expression "so-called irregular situations".

For love and to love

Conjugal love, as a response of married couples to their vocation, is one of the main lines of the Exhortation Amoris laetitia. It forms part of and is a central element in the existence of marriages already constituted in any of their stages. And, for this very reason, the consideration of the truth and beauty of this love must also be indispensable in the necessary preparation for the "getting married" or celebration of marriage. Why and how to contribute to achieve these objectives is, ultimately written request, the purpose of this book.
