Yesterday, at the annual Noche en Blanco event, the submission of the "University of Navarra Museum Awards 2017" took place, at report of Pilar Moreno (Madrid 1928 - Lisbon 2013), who was a great patron of the arts. During her lifetime, and especially in her country of residency program, Portugal, she launched numerous initiatives for children and young people to learn the artistic internship . Now, his daughter Mercedes Peña and his granddaughter Mafalda Cardoso - Botelho, linked to Pamplona by the University of Navarra, take his witness, and in his report they wanted to promote the University of Navarra Museum Awards. This is the first edition of these awards, with which they want to recognize the students and professors of campus who most frequent the museum, the theater, the exhibitions..... At final, those who participate and live the Museum the most.

Mafalda is a 1st year Psychology student at the University. She, along with the Museum's director , Jaime García del Barrio, presented the awards in four categories.

First, the Museum's most active ambassador was recognized. The ambassadors are a group of one hundred students who, spread throughout the campus, transmit to their classmates the exhibitions, shows and activities of the Museum. So for all the work and dissemination that has been done this year, the award to the most active Ambassador of the Museum went to Carlos Aguilera.

The next trophy went to the student who has visited the Museum the most times per year, Juan Otamendi, a senior architecture student, was the winner.

The third category went to Professor Francesc Pujol, from the School of Economics, for being the holder who relies more on the Museum in his daily life, who brings his students and who shares his artistic experience in networks.

Finally, Mafalda explained that like all museums, but especially this one, because it is a university museum, efforts are focused on explaining the works of art and the exhibitions to the visitor. So, her grandmother's awards also want to recognize the merit of that group of students, who voluntarily and altruistically, lead guided tours of the Museum. The student that has attended more groups this year has been Ramón Alemany, student of doctorate of the School of Architecture.
