-About 300 students and professors shared experiences around the university degree program in the first workshop of Academic Talent.

"What I wanted when I studied Philosophy was to return to my hometown and become a carpenter," began his discussion paper Ricardo Piñero, Full Professor of Aesthetics, during the first Academic Talent workshop held at the University of Navarra. From his love for carpentry to his philosophical passion, which is the backbone of his current life, the professor spoke of the big questions, the big answers and the beauty of amassing ideas and reflections together.

At the event, which was attended by nearly 300 students and professors, he stressed that "the University is not only a way of life, but a way of being in the world. And he gave some advice to the attendees, such as "dare to dare the invisible, praise precision and always go beyond.

A morning to consider academic life

The workshop, aimed at publicizing the university degree program as a future professional, was also attended by María Iraburu, president of the University. In her speech, she spoke about the role of teaching and research and about practical issues related to the professional development and access to doctorate.

He also stressed that academic life consists of being a "transformer of the world" and described it as having three fundamental aspects: human, through teaching and dialogue; dedicated to knowledge, to research and to continuing the bequest of those who have gone before us; and international, through the institution itself and the relationship with colleagues from all over the world.
