Josep Ignasi Saranyana, Full Professor emeritus of the School of Theology, joined the Royal Academy of Doctors last January 28th as an academician of issue in the official session that took place in Barcelona. Saranyana disserted on "Filosofia i Teologia a Incerta glòria. Joan Sales repensa mig segle de cultura catalana". On behalf of the Royal Corporation he was answered by Francesc Torralba, doctor in Philosophy and Theology.

The event was attended by some 250 people, in addition to some forty academics.
